The winners of the British Academy Film Awards 2008 for Short Animation and Animated Films were announced last night:

Short Animation

• The Pearce Sisters – Jo Allen/Luis Cook


• Head Over Heels – Osbert Parker/Fiona Pitkin/Ian Gouldstone


• The Crumblegiant – Pearse Moore/John McCloskey
  

Animated Films

• Ratatouille (Disney Pixar)


• Shrek The Third


• The Simpsons Movie

I have been invited by the editor, Andrew S Allen, to write the occasional review. Father and Daughter was my number one movie from last year and a no-brainer for my first post.
