Animation Snack

I had a message from the appropriately named Matt Mesenger about the MyToons Animation Blog, – Animation Snack, an offshoot of MyToons.com. It is full of links and news of current events in the world of animation and consequently I've added it to my favoured sites for my convenience as well as any browsers. The articles especially take my fancy, from which almost at random may I suggest: Paddington Bear Turns 50! / Burton’s Classic Stop Motion Animation The Nightmare Before Christmas Hasn’t Gone to Sleep Yet! / Remembering the Late Ollie Johnston. Given no day job and a staff it's what I'd like to do! The MyToons budget extends to competitions of which there are many, often centred on cartoons, funny, political, not always correct. Lovely. They have an animation contest going on right now called Concrete Jungle. The contest is based around a film about hip hop and skating culture and includes $10,000 in prizes and a chance to have your art put on some of the film materials. All you need to do is create a drawing and submit it. I'm getting a lot of contacts lately but Animation Snack is one for the bookmarks.
