Thanks to Jason from Short of the Week for pointing me in the direction of the listing above. Thanks also to Shooting Down Pictures for a resource that is almost there. I would have added the likes of Koji Yamamura, Rozalia Zelma, Erica Russell. No time now for a more detailed reflection sadly though I welcome additions.

Hi Ian, it's been a long time!
A pretty decent list, indeed. Anyway, I miss a few names:
Adam Benjamin Elliot, Gagnol & Felicioli, Andreas Hykade, Alexei Karaev, Brakhage, Aurel Klimt, Elena & Vladimir Petkevich, Ideya Garanina, Nina Shorina, Ryszard Czekala, Koji Morimoto, Koji Yamamura, Kunio Kato, Phil Mulloy, Ryan Larkin, Suzan Pitt, Vuk Jevremovic.
At the same time, I find a few names in that list slightly overrated: Joseph Barbera and William Hanna, Richard Condie, David Fine and Alison Snowden. And too many American Cartoon animators too, as expected, since the authors of that list are American.
Glad of the return Hawthorne. Worthy additions noted. I personally like Alison Snowden's work and Hanna & Barbera were fine commercially. Some of your suggestions will head me into research as they are new to me. I'm sure to feature them on the blog.
It's good to have a list to think about. I would put Robert Breer on there for sure, he's in my top 3. I really enjoy the blog.
Lizzy
Robert Beer is one I missed and somewhere in my computer is a draft of a review commenced of his "Swiss Army Knife" piece. I'll complete it. Thanks Elizabeth.
great! I look forward to it. Lizzy

If you need some help with those authors or their works just ask me and I will gladly help.
That is very kind of you, Hawthorne. I know you write very well. At the present time I know little of Ryszard Czekala or Jean-Loup Felicioli and Alain Gagnol though, spurred on by your suggestions, I have looked at material by them. (There are films available on-line.) Should you like to contribute a guest review of a film (or two) I should be honoured to act as host on the Animation Blog.
Alternatively email me with your suggestions and and I'll write up something.
I am looking for a short animation film that basically consisted in a man's head morphing into different shapes. Does it ring any bells?
